46 Lies That Trap Many Christians – #28 and #29

Lie # 28 “Everyone on earth is God’s child automatically.”

No, even Adam (whose name means “earth”) was not a child of God because God had not yet made rebirth possible through Jesus. John 1:12 clearly states that only those who receive and believe in Jesus can become children of God. Possibly, Adam might have become born of God by eating of the Tree of Life, but that is speculation. However he was created from the earth and rejected the Tree of Life offered to him in the garden. See Chapter Thirteen in the Elephant book for more explanation.

Lie # 29 “God gives sickness to teach believers a lesson and test their trust in Him.”

Fortunately for us, Father-God is not like that. He sent Jesus to offer freedom to the human race from all that came down through Adam’s Fall. This includes being dead to God spiritually and the many symptoms of that death such as sickness and lack that naturally flow from that fallen condition. Salvation from Jesus is offered for every level of the believer’s being, starting with his spirit-self in Christ.

Jesus never taught such a lie or made people sick. Rather, he set people free of all manner of oppression and bondage because He came to set captives free from the effects of Darkness. He came to give abundant life, not disease and death. If God gives sickness, post-cross, then praying to be healed or going to a doctor to get well would be defying Him. How many parents do you know want their children to get sick? How can you trust someone who is out to make you sick? It is the devil who is out to steal, kill and destroy your health. Adam’s rebellion opened the door to the devil’s devices, not God. Let the Holy Spirit renew you mind about who Father-God really is. One main purpose of this book is to confront and dispel many common lies about Father-God’s nature that the elephant of mixture implies or suggests. Chapter Twenty One in the Elephant book is specifically dedicated to help you discover His true nature.
