More Than Forgiveness Of All My Sins

LYRICS & COMMENTARY

LYRICS

More than forgiveness of all my sins, Col. 2:13
Amazing as that is.
More than deliverance from death and hell, Jn 3:16
Fantastic as that is.

For all of the prophets of long ago
Tried to look but could not see,
How You, the Messiah, would share true Life
By dying on a tree. 1 Cor 1:23

What could be wiser than freeing me
From Adam’s slavery
By nailing me to the Cross with You
To put an end to me, Gal. 2:20

Then raising me up from the grave with You,
Brand new, completely free, 2 Cor. 5:17
And able to know and worship You,
My Lord, my Victory!

What could be greater than lifting me,
By resurrection life,
To heavenly places to reign with You, Eph. 2:6
Above all fear and strife?

Well, it’s making me one with You, my Life, John 17:21
My Hope, my Everything, John 14:6
Secure in Your love, forevermore, 1 John 5:13
My Joy and Covering,

Then, helping me share Your love and Word
With those who doubt You care,
Inviting them into life in You,
In answer to Your prayer. John 17:21

COMMENTARY

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:16-17

12… having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And when you were dead in your wrongdoings (sins) and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us ALL our wrongdoings, Colossians 2:12-13

The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. But the one who does not believe in the Son will not see life, rather the wrath of God remains upon him. John 3:36

These scriptures clearly spell out two outcomes after physical death. All are born in Adam as rebels against God. Jesus came to our rescue because God wants ALL people saved by being reborn of God and enjoy eternal life with God forever by being in Christ – by grace through belief in what Jesus offers us.

See Roman 10:9-13. God has made this choice a easy as possible because Jesus has done all the heavy lifting. I, too, want to see YOU in heaven! That is the reason for this Blog. Any questions? Contact me!
