Many of the benefits of Jesus’ Gospel of Grace for all believers are listed in the first three chapters of Ephesians. In Christ Jesus you are:
- Blessed with every spiritual blessing (1:3);
- Chosen before the creation of the world (1:4);
- Loved by God (1:4);
- Predestined (1:5, 11);
- Adopted (1:5);
- Accepted (1:6);
- Redeemed 1:7);
- Forgiven (1:7);
- Lavishly given God’s grace (1:7- 8; 2:7);
- Shown the mystery of His will (1:9-10);
- Given a guaranteed inheritance (1:11, 14);
- Made “for the praise of His glory” (1:12);
- Secured by the Holy Spirit (1:13);
- Called to a glorious hope (1:18);
- Made a recipient of God’s power (1:19);
- Made alive together with Christ (2:5);
- Raised up with Christ at His ascension (2:6);
- Seated with Rim in the heavenly realms (2:6);
- Created as God’s masterful workmanship, for the purpose of good works (2:10);
- Brought near to God (2:13);
- Brought into a relationship of peace between Israel and the Gentiles 2:14);
- United into one body of Christ (2:15, 16; 3:6);
- A fellow citizen with God’s people (2:19);
- A member of His household (2:19);
- Created for the Spirit’s habitation (2:21,22);
- Made a partaker of God’s promise (3:6);
- Given the revelation of His mysteries (3:8);
- Given bold and confident access to God (3:12).
Do you really comprehend all these riches of yours? Of course not. It’s like gazing at the crown jewels in London’s Tower; you really can’t grasp all that you’re reading – except by faith in the revelation knowledge of the whole Gospel of Christ Jesus. So, ask the Holy Spirit to bathe your mind with all His truth.
