CHAPTER EIGHT E. T. C.

Benefitting from the Reality and Blessings of the Blood Covenant by Resting in the Finished work of the Cross

Dear Jesus, I now boast only in Your cross, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.[i] Through Your death, God delivered me out of the authority of Darkness and translated me into Your kingdom.[ii] You qualified the new me to partake of Your divine nature and, thereby, escape the corruption of the world system caused by evil desires. Your divine power has given the new me everything I need for life and godliness through knowing You intimately. You have called me by Your own glory and goodness through which You have given to me the very great and precious promises[iii] of a new and better Covenant,[iv] ratified by Your Blood.

Because of the magnanimous promises of Your New Covenant with the new me, what is mine is now Yours and what is Yours is now mine.[v] Therefore, what matters most is being a new creation[vi] under Your Blood Covenant and exercising faith (believing, trusting, relying, resting) in You. Enable all this to be demonstrated through me by faith working through love[vii] as a living and holy sacrifice of praise and worship, consecrated to Your Glory[viii] and submitted to Your purpose for me. Accomplish through me the good works that You prepared in advance for me to do. [ix]

By knowing, resting in and embracing the results of Your finished work of the divine exchange on the cross,[x] I am able to appropriate and enjoy the spoils of Your victory over sin,[xi] disease and sickness,[xii] hell and death[xiii] and all circumstances,[xiv] for You always lead the new me in triumph by revealing through me the sweet odor of knowing You.[xv] By receiving Your abundance of grace and Your gift of righteousness, I rule in this life through You[xvi] Who enables the new me to be as You are in this world.[xvii] Now, I can do all things in Your power instead of in my flesh, in which dwells nothing good.[xviii]

Therefore, I thankfully accept and appropriate, by faith, all the protection, continuous cleansing, healing and blessings Your Covenant provides me for my outer man.[xix] I ask Your help and draw on Your power[xx] to live a life worthy of and consistent with Your heavenly calling,[xxi] confident that when You, my Life, are revealed upon Your return to earth then, I too, will be revealed with You in glory. Hallelujah!
