The Result of Father God’s Resurrection Power Applied to Me Through Identification with Jesus
Dear heavenly Father, every good and perfect gift is from You, the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.[i] You loved the world so much, You gave Your best Gift, Jesus Christ, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.[ii] I know that You have plans to prosper the new me, for You have given me a hope and a future by putting me into Jesus Christ to live for the praise of Your Glory.[iii]
Thank you, Father God, for Your free gift of grace that saved me through faith[iv] (believing, trusting, relying, resting) in the working of Your mighty power.[v] You began this miracle of re-generation[vi] when my former self was crucified with Christ[vii] and buried with Jesus through baptism into His death. Then, by Your Glory and resurrection power, You raised me up from the dead with Him,[viii] who was the Firstborn from the dead,[ix] as a totally new creation,[x] Your adopted son,[xi] regenerated of incorruptible seed through faith in Your living and enduring Word, the whole Gospel of Christ Jesus.[xii]
The old me passed away! Behold, all things have become new (spiritually).[xiii]*
By doing all this through Your beloved Son, You delivered me from the authority of Darkness and transferred the new me into the everlasting Kingdom of Jesus, the Christ. Thanks to You, my Justifier,[xiv] I now have redemption through His blood and remission of all my sins[xv] – past, present and future.[xvi]**
You did all this, Father-God, according to the riches of Your glory by Your power, to reconcile me to Yourself[xvii] and to make me, the new inner man, acceptable to You and mighty through Your Spirit.[xviii] All this happened because You, who are both just[xix] yet full of tender mercy,[xx] chose me in Jesus before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before You in love.[xxi]
You, who predestined me, also called me, justified me, and glorified me[xxii] with a totally new nature and, therefore, a new identity and image[xxiii] causing the new me to be a king and priest.[xxiv] Consequently, I am no longer a sinner or even of this world.[xxv]*** Instead, I am now a justified[xxvi] and sanctified saint in Christ Jesus,[xxvii] a citizen of heaven,[xxviii] holy and dearly loved as one of Your chosen children[xxix] and a vessel of honor.[xxx]
Moreover, Your divine power has given me all things pertaining to life and godliness through the full knowledge of You, calling me through glory and virtue. In doing so, You have given to me very great and precious promises of a new and better Covenant[xxxi] in Jesus’ Blood so that I now partake of Your divine nature.[xxxii] Consequently, by believing in Your Son, Jesus, I share in Your everlasting life[xxxiii] and I walk in newness of Your divine life each day.[xxxiv]
Even more amazingly, through identification by faith with Jesus’ crucifixion, death, burial, resurrection and ascension, You have seated my new spirit-self in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, my glorified Redeemer, who is far above all principality, power, might and dominion. You placed me here to show now and in the ages to come the exceedingly great riches of Your grace expressed in Your kindness to the new me and to all Your other saints in Christ Jesus.[xxxv] Therefore, I am no longer legally subject to Satan’s accusations, condemnation[xxxvi] or the law of sin and spiritual death.[xxxvii] I can now freely submit to You and resist the Devil and his horde and they must flee from me.[xxxviii] All evil spirits, be gone in Jesus’ Name!

[iv] Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; (it is) the gift of God.…”
[v] Ephesians 1:19-20 “…and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength which He worked in Christ (in) raising Him from (the) dead; and He seated (Him) at the right of Him in the heavenlies.”
[vi] Titus 3:5 “…not by works in righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, He saved us through (the) washing of regeneration and renewal of (the) Holy Spirit.”

[viii] Romans 6:4 and Colossians 2:12 “Therefore, we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that as Christ was raised up from (the) dead by the glory of the Father, so also we might walk in newness of life.” “… being buried with Him in baptism, in whom also you were raised through the faith of the working of God, raising Him (Jesus) from the dead.” Also see Ephesians 2:6.

[xiii] 2 Corinthians 5:17 “So if anyone (is) in Christ, (that one) is a new creation; the original things (who I was – my former self) have passed away; behold, all things have become new!”
*Note: The “all things” that have “become new” refer to the new me, i.e., my inner man or spirit being – the real me. My outer man – soul and body – are still in process, being sanctified progressively. Also see 1 Thessalonians 5:23 and the “Note” in Chapter 7 under the reference to John 17:17.
[xiv] Romans 3:26b “…for (God) being just and justifying the (one that is) of (the) faith of Jesus.”
[xv] Colossians 1:13 -14 “Who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and transferred (us) into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of sins.” Also see Colossians 2:13.

**Note: Under the Old Covenant, the blood of animals merely atoned for (covered) sin. It was only a temporary solution to “permit” an all-holy God to relate justly to an unholy, sin-natured people in Adam. Through the cross of the New Covenant, Jesus legally paid for, forgave, and remitted (wiped away) all the sins of all mankind. At that point in history, all of my sins were in the future, yet all were forgiven. Now, it is a matter of receiving, by faith in Jesus Christ finished work of the Cross, that forgiveness is already mine rather than begging for what He has already granted. Otherwise, a believer keeps him/herself from the benefits of His forgiveness through ignorance or doubt in the power of Jesus Christ’s finished work. Also see Revelation 1:5.

[xxv] John 17:16 “They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.”
***Note: According to Romans 5:19, a sinner is one who is in Adam who became a sinner in the Garden through his disobedience. Anyone who is reborn in Christ Jesus is not a sinner (despite his behavior) because of Jesus’ obedience in becoming sin and providing justification, which is not dependant on one’s performance but on faith in Jesus’ perfect performance.

(Who is) far above all rule, and authority, and power, and lordship, and every name having been named, not only in this age, but also in the coming (age);” “…that He might show in the coming ages the exceeding great riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus….” Also see Romans 5:17.
