LYRICS & COMMENTARY
LYRICS
Your Love for me is higher than the heights of any sky,
It’s deeper than the depths of any Sea.
Your Love for me is bigger than the total Universe.
You proved it when You shed Your Blood for me. Col 1:14
O Precious Lamb You paid the price to reconcile the world, 2 Cor 5:18-19
A Savior sent by Father-God above.
For only You could do what was needed to be done,
To bring me to His outstretched arms of love. Luke 15:20
There’s nothing that I did or was that earned Your selfless Love,
A rebel only int’rested in me. Isaiah 53:6
But when I died and rose with You, a New Creation Saint, 2 Cor 5:17
You came to love through me, abundantly. Rom 5:5
2000 years ago You paid for all my sin and shame,
Forgiving everything I’ll ever do. 2 Cor 5:18-19 & 1 Jn. 2:2
It’s not cheap grace but lavish Love that paid my monstrous debt,
So in thanks to You, I forgive all others too. Eph 4:32
Your love for me was costlier than all the gold on earth
And brighter than the diamonds in the sky.
Your love for me is surer than all of human love.
I’m One with You, the apple of Your eye. John 14:20

COMMENTARY
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not condemned. But the one who does not believe has been judged already because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” John 3:16-18
Out of His unselfish Love for mankind, Father-God sent His Best Gift, His precious Son Jesus the Christ, to offer redemption from our everlasting state of slavery under Satan. To do this, Jesus was willing to lay aside His deity and become like us in all things except being in Adam. Jesus mirrored Father-God’s infinite love for us, His rebellious creatures, because that is who God is – Agape Love. Only they were willing and able to accomplish such and impossible task – to make spiritually dead people come alive through being “reborn of God.”
This miracle is far greater than when Jesus called the dead Lazarus to come forth after four days in a stone cold tomb. Why? Because Lazarus was still in Adam – a man still on his way to hell unless Jesus could accomplish something far more monumental for him and for us all. And He did just that when this sinless Man “… became sin who knew no sin” … so that we formerly sinful wretches could become in permanent right-standing with God, His Father, as His adopted children – and an everlasting family of many brothers and sisters in Christ.
Lazarus had “bios” – physical life – returned to him. All reborn saints are, by definition, re-created spiritually, being re-begun with His “zoe” Life – partakers of His divine, eternal, God-kind-of Life – as His forever children. We have “eaten” of the Jesus Tree that Adam rejected and become “partakers of God’s divine life” that cannot be lost or destroyed. We have become “one in spirit with Father-God Himself” as a demonstration of His infinite Love to all the astonished angels – both good and fallen.
We are now as sinless in Father’s eyes as Jesus is because we are in Christ Jesus with His imparted righteousness, 1 John 4:17. What is true for the Man Jesus is now true for all those in Him – even if you still erroneously think you are “just a sinner saved by Grace.” Repent! Start agreeing with God about what He has done for you and with you when you believed in Jesus’ performance on your behalf – rather than what you do or don’t do for God. Give proper credit where credit and glory is due – to Jesus’ Finished Work of His Divine Exchange that you are now a beneficiary of – through receiving His gift of lavish Grace alone through His gift of Faith alone in Christ Jesus alone.
life, that is, Jesus himself.
